Its hard to detect

Has clear Video

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was very excited to get this and use it in both my truck and car. The size was very appealing to me. When I took it out of the package the very first thing I noticed was the instructions. I had to get my jewelers glasses to see them, they are very small. Almost unreadable. But I managed. The first thing I did was try to change the date and time. I followed the instruction just as it states in the manual and no matter how many times I did it it would not change. It was fixed on my PC but not on the video. I went ahead and connected the camera to my car auxiliary and recorded while driving. I like that it comes on and goes of when I turn on my ignition. I do need to get more memory but the video is amazingly clear. I also like that I can wear it and record while walking around. With a little playing around with the different features this will come in handy for both work and play.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So, I bought this for my husband for Father’s Day - after the first use it didn’t record anything. So we reread instructions and tried again. Second time we got some footage, but nothing spectacular. Maybe my expectations are too high, but Next time I’d spend a little more in hopes to get better quality.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Good picture quality!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] For a mini dash cam, the picture quality is very good. I expected it to be less clear, so that’s a nice surprise. The instructions are “mini” as well, so get your magnifying glass out! There isn’t much detail, so we just had to guess where to place the cam on the windshield, but the view from the camera is so big that it didn’t really matter where we put it! I could hear a slight, high-pitched buzzing noise when it was plugged in, which could be annoying if that sort of thing bothers you. The other thing that’s unclear in the instructions is what happens to the video file each time you start the car, but after using it, it appears to save several files of certain lengths and perhaps when the memory card gets full, it overwrites them. The suction cup worked very well to hold it to the windshield. It did not come with a USB port car charger, so you will need to buy it separately to make it functional. I didn’t realize that it records sounds, too, and wish there were an option to turn that off. Overall, I’m pleasantly surprised and happy with the quality of video and ease of use.

Simple and easy.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First of all, it’s seriously small. Not sure of the exact specs but I’d say it’s only about an inch wide cube. You can comfortable place it and not have it obstruct your view at all with no problem. There are quite a few options for recording, actually maybe too many. I can see why people want the options but the single button and flashing lights as a means of identifying which mode you are in means you’ll need to always have your book with you if you want to change modes and don’t know the light off the top of your head. This didn’t ever pose a problem for me, because having it on a single setting was the only thing I ever needed, but I can see this being annoying to some users. The video quality has clarity enough that you can see everything and is in line with an average camera used for this purpose. Overall this is a solid product. It is simple and easy to use and does what you would expect it to do.

Love the size

The small size and ability to mount in a number of ways is a great feature. As far as durability, it does worry me that a hard drop may damage the unit. I love the ability to run on battery or connect directly to my car.
