Stylish and quiet

Looks like a high quality kettle and boils very quietly. The lid opens slowly when you press the top, which is effortless. It’s too narrow to wipe the inside dry with a tea towel if that’s what you want to do, but not really a problem. I bough the cream which is a very subtle cream, almost an ivory or off white. It’s beautiful!
I would recommend this to a friend!

The lid wouldn’t open so we had to make exchange twice. The one we kept ending up rusting. So disappointing.

Smeg kettle

Misleading sales pitch. Smeg is made in China and designed in Italy It is written in small letters on the bottom of the kettle. Kettle matches my coffee pot but other than that is overpriced ,

It is very well designed but stopped working after about 2 years which is not acceptable for this price point.

Disappointed

The kettle is very attractive, but it is a huge disappointment.
It is very hard to see the water level as you try to fill it. The materials also feel very insubstantial and flimsy when you pick it up. Feels like a plastic finish.
I thought at the price point it is, it would be a sturdy enamel type appliance.
The price is very expensive for the quality of this appliance.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Looks great but switch is faulty after 2 years

This kettle looks great on the counter and has a good capacity, but it's very heavy when filled, which sometimes makes it challenging to pour it into the small opening in my teapot. I frequently spill small amounts of boiling water onto the counter. If you have weakness in your wrists, this isn't the kettle for you. My kettle worked well for 2 years and now has a problem with the switch. The kettle repeatedly turns off and will turn back on and stay on if I rotate it and find the right position. This kettle is not worth the cost and I wouldn't buy another Smeg.
