Expensive to use

My printer is only four months old and I've already gone through the ink cartridges that are advertised to give you a year's worth of printing. I do not use it excessively, so I'm disappointed in the ink coverage and the cost of new cartridges are quite high

Printer won't print now with new LC406XLBK

Installed the LC406XL in my MFC-J4335DW. The printer was working fine with old cartridge, it was just getting low and faded. The new LC406XL will not work at all. I see ink on the head and nozzle, but the printer will not print at all on the paper. It just goes through the motions as if it were printing, but nothing ends up on the paper. Very frustrating since there is no info online that I've been able to find regarding this issue.

Ink cartridge barely works

This is the first time I've replaced the black ink in my printer (I've had the printer for about a year so it's good how long the ink lasted) but now it prints terribly. I have to continuously run the clean print heads option just to get it to print a few pages and then it gets very light like it's running out of ink again even though the cartridge is full.

I really want love this printer

We purchased this printer to replace an earlier model that served us faithfully for at least 8-9 years. There are many upgrade changes that the newer model provided including the large capacity ink wells and the much faster rate of print. It did not take long however until the printing became spotty, streaky and faint. OK so I discarded the non-Brother black ink and replaced it with an original Brother cartridge. Over the next several weeks I became very familiar with working through the view pad instructions an d repeatedly wasted lots of paper trying to get the machine to print.properly. Even the Brother cartridge would foul. I have eventually replaced all the ink cartridges and extra strength cleaned all the ink wells almost weekly until my last cleaning and line realignments about May 1 where we are still holding steady. I really want to like this printer but it is a challenge to my blood pressure. We'll see

This cartridge does not print. There is no ink in the cartridge. I will continue to gIve one star while supplies are out of stock.

The ink came right on time. I purchased else where and it never showed . They over sold and wouldn’t say, which left me in a pickle at work. I will only by from Brother now.

Brother LC406XLBK capacity

I have gotten approximately 5,000 copies on this black cartridge. Brother is giving the consumer a cartridge that has a long life and ink dries so that water drops do not smear.
Brother's support for my MFCJ6555DW printer has been outstanding even after I broke the MP tray assembly.
It is rare to see a company support a home customer with such versatile printer. As a professional orchestra musician this is the ONLY printer that allows me to scan, enlarge or print sheet music parts for Organ, Cello and Contrabass on ledger size paper.
This is by far the BEST PRINTER. I will never but another HP, Canon or other printers,
