I purchased the Total Gym "Fit" about a month ago and have been surprised at the intense work outs I'm enjoying using the beginner level of cards. The card system and the multiple video's that are included with the purchase were actually one of the selling points for me. Total gym makes the price a bit more tolerable by offering a payment plan which was a pro purchase motivator.
There is a very good comparison video on You Tube that does an un-biased comparison between Total Gym and a competitor brand.

I am 54 years old and love my Total Gym Fit. It is so easy to use and actually fun too. My daughter who is 23 came to visit and loved it too. Now she wants to buy one. Great value for my money.
