This product is AMAZING. I bought my first Total gym 32 years ago and it’s still in great condition. I just felt like with all the new attachments and more fitness levels it was time to upgrade. I’m sure glad that I did. My two grandsons, 11 and 8 are over the top obsessed with the total gym. They say it has really helped with their baseball skills. It truly is the one machine that does it all. Don’t hesitate, just do it!!!!

First, my 10 year old grandson was able to read directions and put together out of the box 95% by himself. He is pretty handy and smart, but it says something for the Total Gym too.
The reason for the 4 stars and not 5, is the following, but I want to say first in case you don't read all, I am very happy with the workout. Easy to figure out moves with looking at cards or videos constantly. Now my cons. The hook under the bed can be difficult to get on. I have had some difficulty holding for storage. I am probably doing something wrong and just need to figure it out and do it right a few times to get it. I haven't been able to get the tower to go flat between the bars. Need to be careful to support the machine opening and closing to not go too fast, drop, pinch fingers, ect. The whole process of pulling the pins, stepping on the support, pulling up, letting down can be difficult if your body is already stiff, sore, lacking in range of motion or strength. If have someone to help, or can leave out extended and ready for use, maybe not a problem. And hopefully with use, body will be healthier and stronger to do these things better. I haven't used the attachments yet, maybe I will write another review later for those. I do plan to purchase the taller foot board to have proper leg position, knee bend angle.
I am enjoying upper body workouts. I was hoping for smooth, controlled movements with range of motion, and the Total Gym provides that. I am able to do the movements with proper posture, engage my core, support my back. This is key in general, but extremely important for me with scoliosis. I have hip, midback and upper back and neck issues that can lead to sciatic nerve pain, stiffness, spasms and painful deep breathing. I see my chiropractor every 2 weeks. I am hoping with increased strength and flexibility to be able to hold these adjustments and lessen/prevent issues. I work on a fruit and vegetable farm and have horses as well. Those activities can cause problems in my body, but the activity that causes the most pain and stiffness is office work, which can be a large part of my days. I am hopeful the upper body/core strength, and a new chair and high table, will help.

After being forced into early retirement due to some recurrent health issues that have compromised my ability to enjoy outdoor activities due to air quality, I needed to find something that I could use indoors. I have my trusty excercise bike which is great for endurance and cardio but, as a clinician, I knew that I needed more. Years ago I remembered incorporating the Total Gym in my treatment plans for some patients in one of the Rehabilitation Facilities where I used to work. Not only were the exercises easy on their joints but, the functional outcomes were very good! I've started my program and am slowly working up to my goal activity level and, I am able to do this at my own pace! Already, I am seeing more upper extremity definition and I am anticipating the same results for my abs and lower extremities as I continue to progress through the program. I believe that my purchase of the Total Gym has been a great investment in my health and well-being!

Good product. Setup instructions could have been a bit clearer but once it was setup we were very pleased with the entire system. The gym is well made, stable and versatile for different level users. We are really enjoying our new gym.

Great for rehabilitation

I bought the total gym for my wife, but I have received the best benefit of the machine. Last April, I snapped my humorous in half and after 12 weeks of non-movement my shoulder and upper arm muscles atrophied, and rehab was really slow and painful. I introduced the Total Gym to my regimen where the lower elevation of the glide board was great for gradually building strength, and I was able to use gravity to stretch out my muscles. Now, I am almost recovered, and my strength is making a comeback - I believe the Total Gym has sped up my recovery process.

I love it but I have to start off slow cause I weigh over 300lbs and I didn't get the foot board so I had to use the other one but it's to big for every day use but I do what I have to do thanks and tell chuck I got this cause he makes it looks so easy and he is my favorite person in the world

I received my total gym fit 3 weeks ago. I use it half an hour in the morning and evening. I have gone from a 46 to a 43 inch waist. I attribute this success to the Ab Crunch attachment. I am up to 75 crunchs at the start and 75 at the end of the work out. My weight has gone from 251 to 243 and counting.
