Must have for home gym

I have watched this on tv for sometime and never purchased but I finally did !! I love the total gym!!! It really is everything they say and I have already lost 11 lbs in two months. I don't have one negative comment, its a must have for your home gym.

Even Better Than Expected

I’m just turned 65 yrs and have always worked out. Started on SoloFlex, Free weights than total gym. Had a house full of gear but moved from my home to a smaller space so I gave bench, bars kicks etc. away. And decided to try the total gym because of space and I needed something for motivation {Plus come on, Chuck Norris?} I did Martial Arts for many years so I gave it a try. “Do Not Underestimate This Machine”. It is fierce for a total body workouts. Arms,legs,abs and especially cardio. Now keep in mind, if you don’t know how to execute an excersise properly, you won’t get results with or without machines,weights or plates that you want. The DVD’s are way cool also. Perform the excersises with your body and it’s abilities in mind, don’t do too little or too much right away and you will see results. I do! You don’t have to work out for hours with this machine to start to see results. You feel it where you should without working out for hours. pay attention to your body and take the machine serious and you Will see and most importantly “Feel” the results. Me myself, I am not looking for huge bowling ball muscles, but it certainly helps me with symetry, strength and I actually feel very good, but nothing works if you don’t give it a fair try. I hate to sound like a TV commercial but I have a 12yr old daughter. Using this machine gives me energy to keep up with her and gives me peace of mind that i’m putting in effort to live long and well,and isn’t that what it’s really all about? Oh! Weight is down and Blood pressure went down a lot according to my doctor. I understand that nothing is for everyone, but I love my Total Gym. I feel it and truly enjoy using it. I heard Chuck say that and I thought it was a sales pitch, but no, thats real.

I purchased this a month ago after reading many reviews. I have always been a member gym but now I prefer to stay at home and work out. We have set up a spare bedroom with hardwood floors into a home gym for my husband and I. We have this Total Gym, a spin bike, and a treadwalker. This fits perfect and we dont have to fold it for storage. It slipped a bit on the wood flooring when in use so we placed rubber backed under each end. We are both using it regularly at least 3 times a week. Very easy to use. I recommend that you view the tapes included to learn how to properly set up, use and apply the exercises variations to customize your workout. So far we are happy with our purchase.

squat stand does not hold up

I bought this about 3 years ago and I love it.But squat stand is bending and is not covered under warranty.Said it is rated for 450 LBS and I am only 190.For the money I think it should be made better than that.

This purchase decision was easy. How many machines have the brand recognition and strong review history as the Total Gym. Not very many. I remember decades worth of seeing Chuck and Christie on infomercials, never thinking I myself would someday own one of those things. Well, when you get older, late 50's early 60's, and less physically mobile, you begin to think a little differently, and you look for something easier to work with then just a weight set and a yoga mat. This is it! My wife and I work out together on it, and it has really been good, and I see and feel better after doing just a little bit on it this last few weeks. Variability of excercises and the smoothness of the machine are fantastic. Great choice for us!

Glideboard Length could be a little longer on this series. I am 6'5 and have trouble keeping my legs on the board while lying on my back. Other than that, 5 stars. This board is 43 inches and other series boards are 46 or 47 inches long. Would help a lot.

Absolutely love this total gym. Everything they said it would be. Makes working out fun. Can't wait every day to do my workout.
Would have given it five stars except that the pulley sometimes falls off when I change positions for a different exercise and doing that causes some slack in the pulley rope which causes it to fall off from under the bench.
. Think the clamp under need the bench should have been more of a circular clamp instead of a U shaped clamp.
But all in all, I would very highly recommend the total gym to everyone

I didn't receive the 5 DVDs that was supposed to come with the order. It isn't fully assempled as advertised, but I can see why it wouldn't be. No issue, but incomplete order is. I have reached out, at time of this survey so I have no answer for resolution.
