i saw this advertised on TV by Chuck Norris and others. it appeared to be easy to set up and use. also showed how different exercises were completed. when received unit it was not clear how to set up nor are the routines simple and aren't effective

this is the second time I purchased. the first time was years ago. too hard to put together, I returned. told this requires no assembly, not true. And it is stuck in a position that it is not foldable and not totally able to use. Only partial use. If it wasn't so difficult to take apart, put in box and send back, I would. I''m waiting for a few free hours to start over. don't have that kind of time in life to dedicate to an excercise machine. So it sits in the corner. I would NOT recommend to others.

After wanting one for years, I finally pulled the trigger and glad I did. The machine seems to be well made and operates smoothly. Documentation of the accessories is lacking, but I won't ding them a star for that. Had to go to youtube to see how the ab crunch accessory works. There is a learning curve to using this, so don't think you will unpack it and jump right on. You might want to have some help when it's delivered. I had to get it up a flight of stairs by myself. That was not fun.
Take the time to watch the set up DVD first before you even unpack it and be prepared to refer to it during set up. Watch the workout DVD's as well before you start or you may wind up frustrated trying to keep up. Most workouts will tell you what attachments you will need at the beginning and I keep them safely near the machine.
Some people have complained about the price, but I remember a upper end model ski machine selling for near the same price 20 years ago. This offers so much more. No more going to the gym and waiting for machines to open up when you're trying to keep your heart rate up during a circuit training session, or catching germs from the machines during cold and flu season, or having to wipe somebody else's sweat off a machine. (Ewww!)

If you purchase this, give it a chance. I'm almost 60 and I have a torn front rotator cuff that is not recommended for corrective surgery. I can do the same exercises my PT has me do and a boat load more.
I leave the machine set up. I don't think you will want to unfold and fold every time you use it. It's not like folding an ironing board. It's a bit of a chore. I don't have any issues raising or lowering the incline settings and the pin pops in firmly when the level is reached. The machine is quiet for the most part, but not silent in operation.
I opted for on demand workouts to give me more options for workouts(https://tv.totalgymdirect.com/). So far I am doing two sessions a day for about 10 minutes each. One lower body/cardio and one upper body, both include core work. It's too soon to see results but the soreness/muscle fatigue tells me it's working just fine.

Easy to use and with results!

As a mom and business owner of 2 businesses with my husband I don't have a lot of time to exercise. I use the daily workout DVD. The DVD makes working out easy and quick! I combine 2 days and workout every other day in just 20 mins and do an eliptical on the in between days. I have only been doing this 1 month and already notice a difference in how my clothes fit and how I feel. Now I just have to get the type of food I eat under control. If only it was as easy as this working out!
Pros: Easy To Use, Quiet, Strengthens, Comfortable, Sturdy

I've seen the total gym on tv for years. Finally I decided to buy one. I already worked out about 4-6 times a week and consider myself fairly fit but wanted something I could do at home very quickly when I can't make it to the gym. The total gym does just that. I can get a really good workout in 10-20 mins depending on how hard I push myself. It's very easy on joints and I can adjust it for more of a cardio workout or strength training workout. Whether you're new to working out or have been doing it a long time, this machine works for anyone!

I'm very happy with my total gym fit! It was easy to set up and easy to use. With COVID-19, shoulder surgery, and a foot stress fracture, I needed some way to do meaningful cardio and weight training without injury or risk of illness by going to a gym. I'm a 55+ woman and very appreciative there is something out there that I can use to meet my health goals. Customer service has been very responsive. I also just purchased the cyclotrainer 2 attachment to enhance cardio in my workouts. I would highly recommend this product!
