This is a solid, well-constructed piece of equipment. In this sense, it will not fail you. There are plenty of exercises for variability and the video instruction content is outstanding! The upper body workouts and the increased resistance are great for strength training if this is your goal like mine. The lower body for legs is better suited for toning, weight loss, and endurance training. It isn't for intense Squat-like resistance training, since it is mainly your body weight and gravity providing the resistance. This could be perfect for many of you purchasing this equipment so don't take it as a big negative.
The biggest issue that we have found is that this machine is not as easy to construct and deconstruct as shown on TV and in the Videos. I'm 6'2" and 205lbs so I can handle the issues. My wife who is 5'2" and around 125lbs cannot without my assistance.

I have had the total gym for almost a month now and have really enjoyed the convienence of exercising at home. I feel that I have gotten better results with the total gym than at the gym. Love all the different exercises. Love the total gym.
