Aluminum parts

I thought this coffee pot was great, until I learned that the well and the nut at the bottom are aluminum! So, what I thought was a “stainless steel@ coffee pot is not exactly. The water definitely comes in contact with aluminum! The description doesn’t tell you that.. you have to call and ask. Ask. But when the well discolored after a few uses, I was suspicious. Sure enough! Aluminum!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Bought the black a little over a month ago - washed the outside with damp cloth and dry. Insides looks like new. Noticed today flecks of the black coming off. Makes great coffee, loved it and talked it up to everyone. So disappointed . Hope my friends didn’t purchase.

Piping hot coffee

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] If you love piping hot coffee, this is for you! Pretty fast and easy to make too! It comes with filters too. I used regular coffee and it came out rich and hot. Made of all stainless steel. Be careful, the pitcher gets very hot! It continuously keeps up to 12 cups of coffee hot. I like it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really love my National Presto Cordless-serve 12-cup Stainless Steel Coffee Maker. Its so easy to use (and clean). It can brew up to 12 cups of coffee in minutes. I was actually surprised at how quick this coffee maker can brew coffee. On top of that, it brews really hot strong coffee and the stainless steel keeps it strong for a long time! Its small and compact, making my kitchen countertops look clean and not cluttered. This coffee maker is also perfect for parties. Just brew and serve. The spout makes pouring coffee easy and there are no spills. I LOVE this coffee maker!

Aluminum Parts!

The perk well at the bottom is aluminum and will wipe up black grime on your paper towel without end! I opted for a percolator as a healthier alternative to mostly plastic drip machines. Very disappointing and misleading! Switched to a 100% fully stainless steel over the furnace type and coffee gets VERY, VERY hot! No need for aluminum parts to make the coffee hotter - as mentioned in a previous response over the same concern. What a way to cut corners on your product!

This is most likely sediment from coffee grounds. To keep your coffee maker functioning properly, periodically remove oil, stains, and any sediment from the inside of the coffee maker. To clean, add water up to the 12 mark. Then prepare the coffee maker as you would for making a full pot of coffee, expect add 3 tablespoons of dry automatic dishwashing detergent to the basket in place of the coffee and do not use a disposable filter. Once the signal light illuminates, allow the coffee maker to remain plugged in for 15 to 20 minutes. Unplug the coffee maker, pour out the cleaning solution and then rinse the inside of the coffee maker and the parts with running water. Fill the coffee maker with fresh water up to the 12 mark and perk again. Pour out the water and thoroughly rinse the inside of the coffee maker and the parts. Depending on the severity of the staining, it may be necessary to repeat this cleaning procedure. For the best clarity and flavor, Presto recommends the use of disposable wrap around filters. However, it is not mandatory. These filters are available at most grocery stores and online. If we can help you further, give us a call at 1-800-877-0441. Hopeful but not as easy as I hoped

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m always on the hunt for the next great coffee maker. And I was excited about this one because I thought this seemed easier than making and cleaning a pot of coffee. But I found that it was more work than expected with having to fill and fold over the filter and then get it tucked in properly. And even once the coffee was made, it wasn’t quite as good as a typical drip coffee.

Filters are not needed for the percolator to operate correctly. However, they do help with the clarity of the coffee, keeping out as many grounds as possible. Such a nice cordless serve coffee maker!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this coffee maker. The beautiful black color makes it look especially nice! The warmer plate has the cord wound up underneath it which is really great that the cord gets hidden away. It’s very easy to pour the coffee into the basket and turn it on to make your yummy coffee. It didn’t take long for my coffee to be done. It made the perfect pot! I was able to take the pot jnto the dining area without having to make sure it’s plugged in. The coffee stayed warm the whole time until it was gone! The pot is not too heavy so I can easily lift it with one arm. I really am pleased with this National Presto Industries, Inc. - Cordless-serve 12-cup Stainless Steel Coffee Maker! I highly recommend it for when you have company and they are looking for a hot cup of yummy coffee!
