Purchased this rower two months ago because my previous rower was so loud. This Avari Programable Rower is by far the best I’ve ever tried,even the ones I’ve tried in gyms don’t compare. I love the screen display and how quite this machine is. It’s built to last and very robust..I would recommend this rower to anyone.

Quiet, and folds up

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] the magnets make it quiet, and it folds up and goes in the closet. it is great. negatives are : my kid accidentally twisted the belt, and this caused the twist to move inside the machine, and then rub on a screw. This damaged the belt. I opened up the machine, and fixed the twist, and clipped the screw that had damaged the belt. I have ordered a new belt for cheap. if you want to avoid this, buy a more expensive cable rowing machine. but if you are ok w a "pretty good" product, or you think you will never twist the belt, this is the one.

My husband and I decided to get more serious about working out and thought rowing would be a great way to do it at home after our young kids go to bed. It’s really quiet so perfect for keeping the kids asleep. It is a bit of a disappointment though in two ways for me: I’ve not gotten sore from any workouts on this machine and lower calorie burning than I expected. I’ve been working out for many years and know how I feel after a good workout but haven’t gotten there with this rower. Conversely more husband has gotta. Sore and feels he can get a good workout in.
Overall if you know you want a rower that can fold and that is quiet this is a really good one but I prefer spending 20-30 minutes on a Jillian Michaels or Insanity workout.
