Great product at a fair price

We needed a printer that would work with both Mac and windows. We don’t print that much but we work from home and have a son in college. It was worked well for all of us.

Avoid the manual feed

My old MFC7840W began to fall apart and this was the closest model I could find to my old printer. It generally works okay but if you need to manually feed checks or envelopes to print upon, the printing always comes out crooked so for one-off print jobs, I use my Canon.

Good Price for machine and toner price is OK (not great but OK). Set-up was easy and I can print remotely from my phone or laptop.

Perfect machine for your home office

I bought this machine to replace my old printer and my old scanner and I am very happy with this printer+scanner+fax combo (MFCL2820DW). It also has a FAX feature, but this is the only feature I am not going to use.
The list of features I like would basically list all of the features of this printer
1. It is small enough to fit on a small stand in the home office
2. I am printing few pages a week and I like it how easy printer/scanner goes into sleep and how fast it wakes up when I am sending few pages to it to print.
3. WiFi feature is great. I can print from any of my desktop or laptop and I do not need ethernet cable.
3.a. I could connect this printer using Ethernet cable, but I do not need to do it
4. Printer does self-diagnostics and notifies me of any problem or if I need to replace its toner or its drum. Notification would be on the screen, in the Brother utility application on my desktop and in email
5. Quality of print and scanned image is great
6. Access to internal area of the printer to change the toner or to fix the paper jam. BTW, I am using printer for a month and there were no paper jam in it

Great all in one

After getting sick of ink jet printers clogging, I bought this. I was prepared to spend more but this printer had great reviews. To install it, you basically turn it on and download an app. This is a great printer and copier. I have not had a single problem. I haven't tried the scan function yet.
