Nice clear screen. Simplified log in. Fast operation. However, w11 has brought many more popups and invasive offers that waste a lot time to remove and get on with my work.
Although I had spent seven years working in IT (on Amdal mainframes) and have had a laptop since 1996, I found this one totally intimidating. Previously I had an ACAS laptop for 14 years and with that one and previous laptops that I have had, I could do my work much more quickly because I did not have stupid and irrelevant messages flashing on the screen, that had nothing to do with what I was actually doing, or refusing the corrections that I ha made when they do. Also, storing data and using 'Pdf' was easier. Storing any data and retrieving is a mine field and the constant arguing as to how to spell words that are relevant to my more specialist work, but perhaps not others, is a nightmare. Downloading a document and then actually finding it and opening it, is pretty 'hit and miss'. Also, 'cut and paste', does not really exist anymore and as a researcher I often need to put quotations etc. in my work - now I have to copy it by hand and then type it into my work. I am constantly terrified that I will lose some data - nothing feels safe at all. I am hoping to complete my Phd in the I have given one star, as the voice to text option is helpful for many people who have disabilities both, physically and neurologically.
I previously purchased a Hp pavilion 10 years ago which l still use so this Omnibook was the perfect upgrade and it certainly performs brilliantly and is really cool looking.
Great Laptop replacing an earlier version, which suffered screen failure after 6 years ! Like the Photo ID feature, device is quite fast to boot up and does all I require, namely spread sheets and photo editing with ease !
