Initial setup was fairly easy but HP tries to run only their configuration version and truly customizing it to make it mine is often challenged, needing my over rides. Why is transferring over my files and data SO difficult? The two computers refused to bluetooth or wifi together to help the transition to the new machine, needing a third party USB to USB data cable and software!

It hasn't been the easiest transition to a new computer, at least for me. Many positives, but a definite learning curve. Repetition is a great teacher, so in the long run all will be well.

All the features I was looking for in a new laptop. I was so tired of every time I installed Windows I needed special security software to erase my hard drive that conflicts with the built in BIOS Secure Boot feature. This laptop has a secure erase option BUILT RIGHT IN to the BIOS just select it when ready and BOOM, clean hard for clean installs of windows. What a fabulous feature. The colors on the screen are outstanding. There is plenty of memory. Mine came with 32 GB which is enough for most tasks. I no longer have to worry if the NUMERIC LOCK is on or off on the keyboard. It now has a small built in light that tells me at a glance. In this time and in this place where I am right now, as far as I am concerned , this laptop is state of the art. It replace my old HP ENVY laptop as HP hos replaced the ENVY line with this new Omni Book X. I can't say enough good things about. Get it and see for yourself. And not to mention FAST!

Perfect laptop for work and home office. I purchased this laptop for my father who's old HP Envy 17 was damaged when his apartment flooded. Its much faster than his old laptop and was easy to setup. I had everything transferred from the old one and setup on the new one in less that 30 min. Another great HP laptop!
