Bought for personal use and its broken

Very disappointed with this low quality tool, its been used twice and now the laser doesn't work, reading reviews it seems to be common I should have bought a Stabila
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Rugged reliable tool

I’m a pro builder, and have owned a GRL900-20HV for five years. I’ve found it to be rugged (I’ve knocked it over, even knocked it into gravel with a pickup tire), carried it in carry-on on planes. I just accuracy-tested it today and find it accurate to 1/32” at 14’. I don’t understand those who have trashed it. I use a Spectra target for long distance daytime leveling, as you can’t see the beam in bright sunlight at a distance. The auto leveling is quick and reliable, a real time-saver. This is my favorite level, and great value at its price point.

unbelievable survivability!

I bought the Bosch GRL900-20HVK about 3 months ago and in the middle of its first job my truck caught fire with my tool and new lazar in it! Next day I went to the truck and the plastic case had melted around the lazar and sensor. I pried off the now hard plastic, hit the on button and it worked like nothing had happened. I took it to and known site and it still read the same! The next day on the same job it got clipped by the excavator bucket breaking off the top cover. Again, after testing, it still works! Amazing- this unit ought to be in the Bosch museum! I have pisc I'd love to show but it won't let me load them, sorry.
I would recommend this to a friend!
