Best Price Around 5070 Ti

If your looking for a solid built card, without any flash, this is it. MSI Ventus is a beast, almost the same size as my older 3080. Best price you can find in the current markent unfortunatly.

Solid Performance - Poor Thermals
on March 24, 2025

Out of the gate, the 5070ti Ventus performs as a 5070ti should. It has a ton of headroom for OC (I was able to keep it stable at +450/2000 in Afterburner) which gives it a solid 7-10% boost on overall performance.
However, check some reputable reviews for this card and you'll notice the same message - terrible fan noise and high GPU temperatures. Under normal load (stock curve, no OC) it was fairly quiet, but the second I started gaming on higher settings in newer AAA titles, the fan really kicked up.
Space Marine 2 would almost always get the fans up to 60-80%, which was noticeably loud in my very large case. Some games wouldn't really do that, but subjectively I felt bad overpaying MSRP for this. Especially when it's currently shown to be THE WORST 5070ti out there for noise and heat.
I wouldn't give this a 1 star review because that doesn't seem fair given current market conditions - for quite a while after launch it was one of the only available GPUs anywhere near MSRP. Now that the 5070ti from PNY and ASUS are on the market, I don't see why anyone would ever pick up the Ventus unless they're desperate or are getting it from a prebuilt.

Excellent 1440p GPU, should be closer to $1100

I was a bit concerned about the cooling performance issues that are notable for this AIB model, however, in practice the card doesn't get over 66 degrees for me. I was able to OC to close to 5080 performance too so that's nice.
At $1150 this would be a decent value, at $1250 it's alright considering the current market landscape.
TDLR, cooler issues are overblown but look for a closer to MSRP model if you can. If you don't want to wait, I don't regret my purchase.

Sure this is over MSRP but at least it isn't as much as most other cards that are currently sporadically available. My tower is under my desk so I don't hear it at all. Tested on 3dMark Port Royal and got over 18000 which is almost a 50% improvement over my previous Gigabyte Aorus Master 3080ti 12GB. In games like Atomic Heart ray-tracing at 4k (my monitor is 4k@60hz for coding not gaming) I used to get 1-6 FPS which was of course unplayable but with the extra VRAM it now runs at a solid 60FPS with everything maxed out.
I also tried it on Bodycam with Epic settings and got 46 FPS so maybe I need to turn down a couple of settings or use DLSS but again a huge performance increase compared to my 3080ti.
I was even having trouble with CS2 at 4k in some maps but those issues seem to be gone too.
I'm super happy with this card. MSI is a solid brand in my experience and now that Asus is going through a dodgy patch, MSI and ASRock are my gotos. If you want to stare at your card then yeah get a pretty RGB one for more money. If you just wanna game at 4k with ray tracing and ultra settings then buy this.

Terribly built cooler with an inflated price
on March 14, 2025

MSI shortchanged the ventus cooler by a lot and then inflated the price beyond msrp to take advantage of the stock situation. The card runs at 70 degrees on the stock profile and is incredibly loud as the cooler tries to keep up. I'm not gonna tell you to not buy this model but please watch some reviews of this model specifically before you make a decision.
