I bought this dehumidifier for my 1170 square foot basement. It’s advertised to handle up to 1500 square feet. Unfortunately, it’s just not powerful enough. I set it for 45% humidity and after 2 weeks of continuous operation, it never got below 53%. It seemed to just get stuck at 53% and couldn’t take the humidity any lower.
On the plus side, it is very quiet and would probably work well in a smaller space.
Easy to use. It does a good job of pulling the humidity out of the air and has lead to the air feeling cleaner, removing mold growth, and eliminating musty towels in our bathrooms.
This is a nice dehumidifier; I love the compact size and effectiveness, energy efficiency and quiet operation. I am using the included drain hose which works perfectly for my needs. The gravity drain works much better than a pump when a drain is nearby. It has basic settings and an easy-to-read display panel. I was initially skeptical about the quiet operation claims, but after several weeks of operation, I can confirm this is a very quiet unit.
I've been happy with the dehumidifier. I run it continuously and I have to empty the bucket twice a day. If the hose had been 10' or so I could have drained it into my bathtub. My house is 1500 SF. It is super quiet.
I bought this for my bedroom, and honestly, it's been a game-changer for my sleep. I'm a very light sleeper, but I can barely hear it running even at night. It keeps the humidity perfectly balanced without disturbing my rest. Plus, I love that it's Energy Star 2025 certified—it feels good knowing it’s working efficiently without spiking my electricity bill. Definitely a must-have for a comfortable bedroom.
As a mom, I'm so happy with this Waykar dehumidifier in my child's room. It's incredibly quiet—my little one sleeps right through it. The auto-defrost is a lifesaver for cooler nights, and the easy-to-empty tank makes my life simpler. It keeps the air feeling just right and looks great, too. Highly recommend!
We purchased 2–34-pint dehumidifiers; one for our 1800 sq ft house and one for our 4-car garage. In all honesty, we've only used the one in the house because the FL humidity is a little lower in Oct than it will be in the summer. However, we're happy with the quality of water removal that the one in the house provides, without being plugged in for an extended period. It has auto turned off when the humidity level reached the set point. I also must mention that this unit is super quiet. Even the dog and cats that are in close proximity to this unit when it's turned on don't notice any noise. The dog keeps sleeping and the cats will walk past the unit to the litter box without hesitation. So far, we're very happy with this model.
