Classy new addition to my kitchen!

Great vent hood! The controls are easy to use, it is very powerful and looks great in my newly redone kitchen! Delivery was quick and it was a great deal at the sale price.

Hauslane UC-PS18 Range Hood - That's all you need!

We were renovating our kitchen and fed up with the old vent hood which was bulky, noisy and literally ugly. While we were searching for a better option, we came across Hauslane and our search has come to an end. Model UC-PS18 (black one) was meeting all our needs. It has been couple of months since we installed the range hood and we cannot not be more satisfied with it. Definitely recomended!

Good but long wait

The hood has been great but it took 6 weeks to receive. Team was responsive and kept me updated that is was backordered.
Install pretty easy. Needed drill bit extension (12”) and 1.25” hole saw for the plug. Otherwise was straightforward.

Works & looks good but the install

The PS18-30 looks and works good but am not impressed with the workmanship for the price. First of all the sheet metal screws supplied for the mounting are useless unless your cabinets are solid wood not the hollow core type as in my case so had to use bolts with washers. Would have been easier to have a template supplied as I noticed other models have so made one. After all, houses aren't always square. Had to watch when drilling the hole for the power cord. One inch is called for but the plug is larger and is close to one of the mounting holes so be careful. The type of strain relief used on the cord won't allow the unit to fit flush to the cabinet underside unless you are creative. Some of the screws on the back were driven crooked and stick out so can't be flush to the wall so leave a gap. Really would have liked to have given it more stars.

We love our new fume hood!

Our Hauslane UC-PS18-SS 30" was professionally installed by a contractor. This is our first "real" kitchen fume hood. After approximately three months of use, we've found the first and second settings are sufficient for most of our needs on an electric stove. We've used the highest setting to clear out a smoky plastic odor when one our kitchen light fixtures had a defective bulb. It quickly kept the odor from reaching the adjoining living room. I really like how easy the baffles are to remove to clean, and they're dishwasher safe! The spectrum of light of the LED bulbs is suitable for cooking in conjunction with our overhead LED lights. We use them for soft lighting in the kitchen at night. I find the noise of the exhaust tolerable and in accordance to the speed of the fan. The lowest setting is barely noticeable, but the highest setting you will definitely hear. However, most people will never use this setting for extended periods of time. I've taken a short video of each settings to give you a better idea of the noise level. We hope to enjoy our hood for many years to come.

Great purchase

We have had this fan installed for a week and a half now. I cook all the time and I can’t believe the difference this exhaust fan has made in my kitchen. I used to have a microwave over my stove and the exhaust stunk. Because my house to get smoky and my kitchen was hot. With this exhaust fan I can’t even tell that my oven or stove is on. I put the fan on low to high if I am cooking on the stove or using the oven. You can’t tell that it’s even on compared to when we had just a microwave exhaust going it got so hot in our kitchen that I needed to use a small portable fan to circulate the air. I highly recommend this exhaust.

Best Range Hood Ever! Great looking, very stylish

Our local handyman installed the UC-PS18 30" range hood for us. We are thrilled with this new addition to our kitchen. It looks nice, modern, controls easy to use. Our home is no longer smells of food odors. We are very satisfied with our purchase.
