I have shopped a good amount of range hoods and I finally picked this one.
So far, I am satisfied. Quality seems good (it's only 2 weeks old).
I have some comments on different aspects.
Installation : my setup is with the rear rectangular duct. I found it a good challenge to put the two back screws behind the blower. They are quite well hidden, and deep.
Performance : It seems to capture fumes on a decent level. I expected more power. I find it weird that I don't feel a difference between the third speed up to the sixth speed. So, as a result, the sound is not too bad. But it doesn't really get louder after the third or fourth speed. There is at least 3 speed that I don't feel the difference. I haven't mesured it, but I expected more. Maybe I was a little bit dreaming on how it would perform.
I am not sure it is intended this way.
Also, it's not dramatic, but it beeps a lot. Every button press is a beep. It can be annoying for some people.
At first, I was aiming a Proline range hood. I'm not sure if it's a good choice either as I am quite a novice in the range hood market. But I chose Hauslane for the maintenance capability, like being able to change the lights with standard GU10 lights.

We researched for good quality hood and one that would provide a large amount of air flow. The Hauslane is excellent in all categories. we are quite pleased with its performance and it operates quietly,we are very happy.

Great looking Range Top

This range top functions and looks great perfectly matching our gas stove. If you are installing yourself, please be warned that it is very difficult to attach in the back screws as the fans are on the way. We finally got it working after buying a drill extender and a long screwdriver.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Works well but too loudly

I like the design of the hood - metal plates easily remove for washing. Lights are angled slightly backwards to evenly light the stovetop. Haven't tried removing a light yet. Oil tray is easy to remove. Disappointed that even at the low speed, the hood is loud, much louder than our old one at low speed, which for an object right next to your ears when cooking makes a difference! It works more powerfully though, so I've been cycling it on and off for shorter periods. And wearing my noise-cancelling headphones while I cook :) Wish it did not have a clock; already have a clock on our stove and microwave, and with frequent power outages we'll be resetting it for sure.
