This becomes the anchor and foundation of our newly innovated kitchen's operation!! The unit sucks up all the grease in the air when we cook on the gas cooktop and the stainless grate collects most of the oil vapors. We just throw the grates in the dishwasher once a week or so and our entire kitchen is free of oil grimes for many years to come. We just loved it until my wife somehow found a way to put back the grates on the wrong side after cleaned out of the dishwasher, and there's no way to remove them since the knob for releasing a locking mechanism is hidden on the other side. The support was available immediately (on the phone), provided a step by step guide to remove the parts, and sending out the grates for free. I believe every kitchen needs a range hood like this. A correct size vent and proper installation i.e., correct distance from the source of heat and the face of grate, a must. We really appreciate the Hauslane island range hood and the support by Jared. It also looks great, powerful and the LED lights are sharp.

Ductless Installation works Great

I needed a ductless installation and found it impossible to find a review on any hood with this type of installation, until I found 1 for a Hauslane IS200 hood, That review said it worked great. We've only had it installed about a month but in that time the smoke alarms have only gone off once, but turning the vent on high and cracking a window a bit to assist with the airflow enabled the alarms to go off without me having to and fan them and open multiple windows and doors. As I get used to having a hood, I'll remember to start the hood earlier, I failed to do that.
I did gain some insight while researching. I have a 30" range, but I bought a 36" hood. I learned I should start the fan early to ensure the air currents were established before there was any smoke from anything and to also crack a window a bit to assist the 1000 CFM motor.
I am very please with the hood and even happier not to set of the the smoke alarms at the slightest bit of smoke from cooking.
I would recommend this to a friend!

The hood is so good that is so easy to leave a review. I am very impressed with the IS-200 island installed model; the fact that the controls can be accessed from both sides is genius. Hauslane clearly understands what consumers need.

I love, love my IS-200 over the island range hood.
It’s aesthetically pleasing and function beautifully The lights over the stove make it so much easier to cook. Also the service department was very friendly and helpful in every way; thank you Jared.

We bought this a couple weeks ago and it works great, looks great, and really like having two sets of controls, one on each side.
And very reasonably prices. It came with a couple small dents in the cowling but they sent out new ones in two days!
We installed it ourselves, very easy to do.
