Despite being told by your sales department that the item would work with my previously purchased HP laptop, it does not. I haven't been able to return it, despite talking to 9 people, so far. Your return process is nothing less than horrible and I will never buy another HP product again.
Good for three monitors with my Dell Latitude (USB 3.0) as well as MCB 2015 (needs Display Link driver). USB C on my Dell is not detecting monitor if I unplug and plug it back, needs restart every time. Any advice would be helpful.
I purchased this hub on the recommendation of an HP tech support online chat. It does not work with my laptop. Don't buy until you have talked to a tech person in hub support (specifically) to be sure the hub is compatible with your laptop.
This was recommended by HP chat assistant for the ZBook G5. The G5 is unable to run at full power because there is not enough power coming from the 120W supply. Really disappointed with the chat service and the product.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hi Customer,
We are sorry to hear that the USB-C/A Universal Dock G2 did not meet your requirement and please allow us to serve you better. We have several different “ZBook G5” models. The one that will have the best user experience is the Hook dock: HP Thunderbolt Dock w/Combo cable, please check the details here: https://store.hp.com/us/en/pdp/hp-thunderbolt-dock-g2-with-combo-cable This dock offers 230W of power so it is not necessary to connect an external power source in addition to the USB-C cable. It will also provide Thunderbolt speeds to external thunderbolt devices which is 40Gbps. If you wish to use the current dock, you can connect the power cable to the notebook and continue to use the USB-C cable for dock functions. For more details please get in touch with our customer support at https://store.hp.com/us/en/cv/customerservice
I wish i could give it 5 stars, but the HDMI video doesn't work consistently with my HP elitebook 755 G5. More than half the time when I plug in the dock to the laptop, the keyboard and mouse work but the monitor says "no signal". (Plugging the hdmi cord directly into the laptop works fine, so it's definitely the dock). All drivers and firmware is updated but still buggy.
Glad to finally be able to connect old products and new products using one universal dock. I am especially ecstatic to be able to connect my Apple Macbook Pro to (2) HP 27ec monitors then connect the (2) monitors right back in minutes without having to fuss with the wires behind my desktop or on the sides of my Macbook respectively. Also connected to my universal dock, include a 2 TB Lacie for external storage and connect that directly on my dock for quick and easy convenience for storage on either device when connected. Ethernet connected, HDMI to a 3rd display not far apart from my tech echo system and I have additional (2) USB ports and headphone jack to spare. Did I mention this sports a USB A to USB C adapter? Love this product. Recommending this to all my friends, colleagues and associates alike. Would certainly buy this again. Thanks HP!
