Tried using this as a TV console but found it a little too high for my liking. Instead, I use it for my turntable + vinyl collection and it works amazing. If you don't install the bottom shelves, you can fit ~200+ albums in the both of bottom compartments. Doors can be closed so media isn't visible but you have easy access via the sliding doors. Amplifier rests in upper right shelf; turntable is centered on top bookended by the speakers.

Exactly What I was Looking For

This has the mid-century look with modern practicality. I was looking for solid wood. This piece is beautiful and can easily blend with more expensive furnishings. I liked the taller size so that I can swivel the TV to view it throughout the living space without the obstruction of other furniture.

Nice Stereo & Vinyl Record Cabinet

This is one of the only pieces that I could find that would hold vinyl albums and some stereo gear. I have actually used ours as an old fashioned stereo cabinet. In the lower storage area, I left the shelves out so it holds my record collection, with the sliding doors keeping them dust-free. I kept the shelves flat on the bottom of the cabinet, in case I ever want to use them again. The upper twin slots hold a receiver and CD changer. Note that these slots are deep enough for a CD player. CD changers (a 6 disc unit in our case), however, are really deep and so I cut the back panel out just enough to allow all the connections to be made in the back... really no big deal. If you were using this as a TV stand, regular components, like AV receivers and DVD players would fit no problem, and there are holes for wiring. Overall, a nice mid-century piece for the money.

I bought this stand as an entertainment and storage cabinet to hold my receiver, turntable, and record albums. This is exactly what I needed to do the job!
I currently have over 200 records stored in it with room for more. The mid century modern design goes great with my 80's series sound system.
This thing is solid, sturdy, and easy to put together as well.
I would definitely recommend this entertainment stand!
