The basic advantage here is price. Most color cartridges run out at about the same time, so buying them together makes sense, at least to me.
BTW: In printing Photoshopped RAW/JPG local high school sports images, I'm getting about 500-550 images per color cartridge from my HP M452 series printer. The color renditions are superb.

I purchased replacement cartridges for our HP printer directly from you guys for a couple of reasons; 1.) Freshest "magic stuff" inside. Hasn't been sitting on a vendors shelf for who knows how long! 2.) Latest technology on cartridges design., 3.) It will fit!. Not a make-shift adapted cartridge, 4.) Backed by HP's guarantee should there be a problem.

Even the 410X which is supposed to be high yield is not doing enough copies. The 410 only do about 700 black copies the 410x about 1200

I'm sorry to hear that you were disappointed with the page yield. The estimates of pages printed are based on industry standards. How the cartridge will perform in real life situations will vary quite a bit.
A high-density print (like a photo or graph) will use the toner more quickly than a low-density print (a text-only document). Using the draft and black only settings on your printer can help page yield.
