Great simple mat

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Staples Black Fabric Desk Mat did the trick! I needed something that was simple protected my desk but allowed my mouse to move around freely. This did the job very well. I am more than pleased with this mat.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the Staples Black Fabric Desk Mat as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. I have a wood desk so I was in the market for a desk mat to protect my desk. Aesthetically this mat looks like black neoprene which isn’t really my style but I was hopeful about its functionality. I sit at a computer all day but I also hand write notes and sketch at my desk so I wanted something that would be nice for writing on. This may is way too squishy to write on comfortably and if you press too hard you’ll stab a hole through your paper. So not only did it not improve how it felt to write on my desk then I to stick a note or book under my paper to be sure I wasn’t poking holes through it. Additionally it is extremely difficult to remove erasure bits from the mat so it looks dirty constantly. So my stars are because the mat does protect my wood desk but it makes writing tasks a pain and looks terrible if you erase on it.

As you will see from the photos I provided the desk area in my home is granite and it’s so cold year round! Adding the fabric desk mat was a game changer. Now as I type my arms are resting on the mat instead of the desk. No more cold wrists! Truly a first world problem but I’m glad to have found the solution. This huge desk may not only makes your space look classy you can say goodbye to your mousepad! I really enjoy the new look of my desk. I went to see what other options in colors they had because I would like another one for another desk in my house. If I had any complaints at all it would be that they don’t have an abundance of colors to choose from. I am highly satisfied with his mat! It is cozy yet sturdy!

Comfortable cushion

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using the Staples fabric desk mat for about a week now and so far I'm enjoying having it. It is a good size where it covers the middle of my desk with room left over on either side. It's a good thickness feels comfortable to rest my arms and wrists on. The fabric feels durable and the mat itself feels well made. It has a non-slip backing so I don't have to worry about it moving around or bunching up. My wireless mouse has no problem moving around it it glides well. I have a white desk so I like having the black mat to make sure it stays clean and ink free. I think that the only problem that may arise in the future would be cleaning it of any dust or debris that accumulates but it claims to be resistant to stains and liquids so hopefully it won't be an issue. Overall I think it is a quality desk mat and would recommend it.

Simple yet effective and well made

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the quality and feel of this mat. It feels nice on my wrists and allows my mouse to glide around smoothly. It lays perfectly flat without the corners curling up which is an issue I’ve had with other desk mats. I really love the larger size of the mat. It’s big enough that it frames my keyboard and mouse giving my desk an organized grounded look and even leaves space for my coffee mug (so I’m not leaving water rings on my wooden desk). And any liquid that does find its way onto the mat easily wipes away. The anti-skid backing works really well; once it’s down it isn’t going anywhere. This mat is simple but effective and well-made. I would recommend it if for nothing else than to protect the surface of your desk that encounters the most wear and tear.

Sleek Desk Mat

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a very cute and sleek desk mat. I love how wide it is opting for maximum space for a multi device person like myself. I usually have two cellphones a mouse and a lap top. All of these items fit on the mat with room for more! My mouse moved effortlessly around the pad it also provided a layer of security when I placed my laptop on it. So it wasn’t easy for my toddler to slide it off as she normally would! Another plus about the product is you can use it anywhere. I put it on the island in my kitchen my kitchen table the desk in my room and it stayed put! What sets this mat apart from the rest is the length lots others only leave enough space for a mouse pad and then you have an awkward amount of space left on the table (if you’re like me you’re big on aesthetics and your arms being even on a surface. This desk mat provides that security.) Very durable and the design is so simple and it gets the job done!

Perfect desk mat

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This desk mat worked perfectly for me and it came at the right time. I have very limited desk space in my home office and the mouse pad I had was not doing any justice. Once I received this desk mat I set it up immediately which was a breeze. Now I have more space to move my mouse around and I don't feel so cramped in the space I have. I can move my mouse around with no issues. Work and crafts using my laptop mouse has become a lot easier.
