This monitor stand was the most disappointing Staples brand item that I've purchased at Staples especially for the $50 price. While adjustable legs on a monitor stand is a great feature the legs on the Staples stand were only coarsely adjustable NOT tight smooth functioning or "lockable" making the stand difficult to level and to maintain that way. The worst feature was the "deck"! It was "concave" (NOT flat)so that even the circular base of the monitor that I bought at Staples could NOT sit level contact the base over the entirety of its circumference and therefore was NOT even remotely STABLE! POOR design and POOR construction! I returned this item and would definitely NOT recommend it to any other customer.
A very sturdy monitor stand with adjustable legs & micro adjustable feet. it also comes with stick-on pads for the feet. The height adjustment is 5"-8" with 3 - 1" increments. I'm presently using it for a laptop (15") stand. I like its sturdiness (all metal) adjustability and that the metal top/deck has many holes (1/8") for ventilation.
I wanted something that kept me from bending down or slumping to see my laptop screen With this one I can sit up straignt and use a separate keyboard on the desk top. It's stable and has space underneath for other items but not wide enough for a regular keyboard.
Many uses. Used this one for all-in-one Canon printer. Nice to be able to store work or supplies below the stand. Have used other monitor stands from this company for flat screen TV's. Store other equipment such as DVD player Roku and Tablo below the stand. Makes for efficient use of space less clutter and helps to hide cables.
