You can’t go wrong with simple design steel construction and a stable footing. I used one of these to lift my laptop off the desk with a laptop dock underneath it and another for my daughter to lift her laptop up so that it works as a monitor. It works great!

I just wanted something to lift my laptop up but that was also strong enough to lift a flat-screen monitor. I didn't expect to find it at the price and didn't expect it to be Staples brand after seeing all the other popular ones. After there were so many to choose from with all kinds of features I found that this simple solution actually worked best for me. The space underneath to stow my wireless keyboard is a space saver. The only thing I wish is that it was maybe 1.25 inches wider. My wireless keyboard is ergonomically designed and just wider than the space between the bottom struts of the stand. I have to stow the keyboard a little cockeyed. But overall this stand is a great value and turns out to be just what I didn't know I wanted.

I bought this monitor riser to use for my 19" flat screen television. My DVD player sits right underneath on the curved "legs". I don't have an entertainment system with shelves so this is the perfect solution for me.
