I wanted something simple to raise my new lap top off the desk to give me added room for everything else. I didn't want to spend a lot of money for a docking station so I just got a gang plug for my various USB driven accessories so that I only have one USB port to plug in and unplug when I go mobile with my lap top. Seems faster and easier to me than using a docking station. I have my extra drive my key board my mouse and my printer all on the one USB gang plug. Works great. When I'm not using the lap top I slide the keyboard under the shelf and have all the room I need on my desk. This stand is a low tech simple easy no fuss/no muss inexpensive desktop accessory.

Wish it were a little wider - I bought it to store my laptop underneath and use a full size monitor. The mouse and keyboard plug in but it's tricky

This stand is made from good quality steel and has a nice black powder-coated finish that seems really robust. It raised my monitor to the perfect height so I don't find myself slouching down anymore. I love that there was ZERO assembly and I could just plop my monitor on top. The bonus is that now I have room for stuff underneath. I put my keyboard under when I am sorting through paperwork. My co-worker has one too and she likes keeping her tape dispenser sticky notes and stapler underneath. So simple and versatile! Worth it!
