Riser is sturdy. It is not adjustable. Was going to use it for my monitor but it was too high. Currently using it with a flat screen TV.

I use this to hold my monitor that is hooked up to my Dell laptop. I just fold back the laptop screen 180 degrees and then slide it underneath this monitor stand. I can still easily access the laptop keyboard. It works super for this.
