For the most part I am usually satisfied with the Staples brand of products. Less expensive than the branded items and still able to perform the task for which they were purchased. This stand is no exception and perhaps even more so than usual. I found this stand less conspicuous than the other offerings significantly less expensive and more than up to the task of supporting my monitor at a level that I needed. The fact that it allows me to store a ream of paper under it is a nice bonus. Sometimes there are silver linings and this product is one.

While it worked I don't like the way the legs are fixed which makes it difficult to store. Would've preferred one with fold-up and locking legs.
