Hello,
I'm sorry that your toner cartridge didn't last long. I can understand why you are disappointed.
Unless the cartridge was damaged or defective, the usage would determine how long it lasts. If you were printing mostly high density printouts, that could have affected its longevity.
Here are a couple facts about usage that might help: - A high-density print (with images or graphs) will use the toner more quickly than a text-only document. - Using the draft and black only settings on your printer can result in some savings
If you feel that the poor page yield was caused by a defective cartridge, you have the option to request a replacement or refund.
I bought the cartridge from HP because I have always used their printers and needed to have a cartridge in the a couple of days because ours was running low. The cartridge was supposed to be delivered next business day and it took 4 business days to receive. Once I opened the black ink cartridge and placed in the printer, it did not recognize as a Genuine HP Ink Cartridge. The cartridge did not work and did not seem to have any ink in it. Each time I tried to print or make a copy it would just blur the page and the cartridge did not perform as it should. There were dots and smears all over the page.
Just to make sure that the printer was working correctly, I installed a new magenta cartridge that I had in the office that I purchased at the local Staples Store and my printer recognized as it a Genuine HP Cartridge and worked fine. This cartridge was not a good purchase and I will not purchase from the HP site again. I would give ZERO stars if the option was available.

Hi,
It concerns me that the cartridge appears to be counterfeit. That sounds disappointing.
Please accept my apologies and return the defective cartridge. Our return and exchange process is covered, step-by-step, at: store.hp.com/us/en/cv/returnsandexchanges
The HP 202x was very easy to install and had been working fine so far. I just hope, because it was so expensive, that we will get a hugh amount of print outs/copies from it. Toneris way over priced for what you receive.
