My printer is fairly new - purchased about 7 months ago, so this is the first time I'm having to purchase a cartridge. Since I installed the cartridge, the items printed have been very sketchy and spotted - unable to use - unreadable.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I do allot of printing. My 479fdw is a good printer for someone who does not da allot of printing. If you do 20,000 copies a month, this unit cant handle it.
Cools down to many times during the printing process and if you want to print just a few selected pages out of 150 pages it just prints the whole set again and the ink is expensive.
