The Cyan cartridge in this set was defective. It was getting caught on paper and causing repeated paper jams. I had to throw the cartridge out after only two days of use. That was expensive.

Hi Karen Wow a paper jam is no fun! I am surprised at this incident as it is pretty uncommon. I apologize for any wasted ink or paper. There are a few possibilities on what caused the jam. One reason could be the incorrect cartridge for your printer model. This scenario is unlikely because most printers will only print if the cartridges are compatible. More likely the ink cartridge wasn't firmly enclosed in the printer. When the printer started it tore the paper. I wish you hadn't thrown out the cartridge. You could have received an exchange if it was within the return window. Amanda HP Care www.hp.com/support/
I haven't opened the box yet so I don't know if it's any good or not. I just hope responding will stop Staples from sending me emails to rate this purchase.
More expensive than the copier. Service was acceptable.

Hello David I am sorry you are unhappy with the product price. I cannot adjust the cost of the cartridges but I can guide getting the most ink out of each cartridge. Here are some great ideas. Use sleep mode on the printer. Turning off the printer avoid exposing the printhead of the cartridge to air. Use a wet cloth or soft material to clean off dirt dust or old ink gently. Consider XL cartridges or value packs. Print only when you are 100% sure the copy is correct. Print preview is a great tool to assist with this goal. Amanda HP Care www.hp.com/support/
