We love our new fume hood!

Our Hauslane UC-PS18-SS 30" was professionally installed by a contractor. This is our first "real" kitchen fume hood. After approximately three months of use, we've found the first and second settings are sufficient for most of our needs on an electric stove. We've used the highest setting to clear out a smoky plastic odor when one our kitchen light fixtures had a defective bulb. It quickly kept the odor from reaching the adjoining living room. I really like how easy the baffles are to remove to clean, and they're dishwasher safe! The spectrum of light of the LED bulbs is suitable for cooking in conjunction with our overhead LED lights. We use them for soft lighting in the kitchen at night. I find the noise of the exhaust tolerable and in accordance to the speed of the fan. The lowest setting is barely noticeable, but the highest setting you will definitely hear. However, most people will never use this setting for extended periods of time. I've taken a short video of each settings to give you a better idea of the noise level. We hope to enjoy our hood for many years to come.

This range hood is great at keeping the nasty smell away from my kitchen. I am cooking more and experimenting making new cuisines without worrying about the smell.

I own the 30" version for over a year now. I replaced my under cabinet microwave. The air suction now makes a world of difference. My whole house no longer smells like the kitchen. The conversion pieces provided made sure it will fit your configuration (rectangle or circle). The instructions indicated that it's a 2 man job to install but it's more like a 3 man job. You can install with 2 people if you have the right tools to prop the hood vent up. My only gripe is that the clock runs so for some reason, it is always a minute behind. I would need to constantly adjust it.

The Hauslane Range Hood model UC-PS18-30

We ordered this vented range hood directly from the manufacturer. It came in less than a week. It took us awhile to get it installed because our handy man was ill. Installation was a bit of work because the hood is quite heavy. The fan motor is quite loud but it does the venting job it is supposed to do.

This is probably my best kitchen investment ever. Moved in this place with an over-the-range microwave that doesn't suck well. This Hauslane PS18 came in right on time, and it is really a workhorse! I do a lot of sautéing with heavy, greasy recipes. After a few months the kitchen still smells fine. The design is sweet and modern. Most importantly, cleaning is quick and easy. Worth every penny of it!
