I Purchased the 36" Hood vent about 3 years ago. It woorks awesome, is very easy to install, the filters couldnt be easier to remove and wash save on the dishwasher machine, it comes with all the accessories for adatp tho any kitchen vent opening, iam a mexican descendant an most of are food dishes are done frying with oils and lard so thats make a lot of fumes and odors but we dont have any problem with the UC-PS18 36" Its does is job perfect. Whe are mooving next wek tho another place to live and the range hood lts allready in are plans to installed in the new kitchen... I would recomended 100%

The hood looks great and works great. There are a couple of things to for insulation that need to be improved. It should be set up to easily be hard wired, ether the power cord should be done through a knockout or there should be spots to be knocked out. Also the top 10 x 3 1/4 vent should be only 3/4 an inch from the back to match a lot of the standard installations, or made so it can go in a range of positions starting from 3/4 inch from the back and moving forward.

Not as quiet as I had hoped, but still OK (my local retail stores never have power to the hoods, so there is no way to tell). Much harder to install that the online video showed (those back screws were a b****). The ventilation grates had a plastic protective wrap, but the hood didn't; my hood suffered a minor scratch during install because there was no protective wrap.
