I love doing high-heat cooking such as stir fry and steaks. However, my hood fan was not efficient so the house always smelled like food afterward, which I really dislike. After a few years, I realized it was better for my health (and sanity) to invest in a better fan.
I had compared multiple brands before purchasing Hauselane UC-PS18 as it has the best price for the features. The fan was well-built and came with everything. The best yet, I can place the oil filters/catcher into the dishwasher which is a big bonus.
I did the plastic cup suction test and watched the cup stick and fell from the hood with great satisfaction. Now my house no longer smells like Chinese food/steak and that makes me very happy.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Best Range Hood Ever! Great looking, very stylish

Our local handyman installed the UC-PS18 30" range hood for us. We are thrilled with this new addition to our kitchen. It looks nice, modern, controls easy to use. Our home is no longer smells of food odors. We are very satisfied with our purchase.

Great product. Range hood is powerful and extremely nice to look at. it does not take up a lot of space. We cook a lot of smokey dishes and medium power does the job, we have yet to use it at max power.

Terrible design for mounting underneath cabinet

This has to be about the stupidest design for mounting the unit. It literally can slid forward and fall on to the stove. Had to drill through the back of the hood and attach to a stud so it can’t fall down.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
