Noisy and difficult to install.

It’s was not easy to install due to the lack of template and location of cord. We are fairly experienced DIY and it took a 2+ hours. This could have gone better if a template for the screw holes had been included. The fan is also quite a bit louder than I was expecting but once it’s in what are you going to do. It does suck well but I’m guessing there are other less expensive hoods out there that will do the same noisy job.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Design issues

I bought this range hood two weeks ago, and honestly I’m not happy with it. First of all, the touchscreen controls are annoying. Instead of pressing one button and starting immediately, I have to touch multiple controls in a certain order every time. Another issue is the fan speed adjustment. Whenever I increase or decrease the speed, the fan briefly stops before speeding up or slowing down again. That pause feels unnecessary and irritating. As for the noise level, it seems like the manufacturer only focused on reducing noise at the highest speed. In reality, medium settings are what people use most often, and the noise at those levels is not acceptable. The most annoying problem is the secondary whistling sound coming from the grille. In addition to the normal fan noise, there is a separate high-pitched whistle, especially at lower settings. Sometimes when I leave food on the stovetop and run the hood at level 1 just to prevent cooking smells, people think the stove is still cooking because the whistling sound resembles simmering food. If I could go back in time, I definitely would not buy this product. A range hood is something people expect to use for 10–15 years or more, and I am not satisfied with this one at all. Unfortunately, it is already installed, and replacing it would mean paying another installation fee. So now I feel stuck with this expensive and annoying product until it eventually breaks.

Great performance..6 speed ..only have to run it on 2 ..great design and performance ... I've been a home kitchen appliance tech for over 30yrs and this unit really sucks..literally

Hauslane UC-PS18 Good Value and Quality

Excellent unit, well built and looks great. 6 settings for suction and has a decent sound. Not too loud even on the highest settings. Have cooked several dishes with no issues with smoke and smells staying in the house.

Best venthood ever

I received this venthood as a gift with very highly recommendations from my friends for my new house more than a year ago. This is the best gift I have ever received. The smells from cooking never linger in my kitchen more than 10 minutes after cooking. The fans are powerful but very quiet compared to other vent hoods that I used before.
Highly recommend this venthood if you hate cooking smell like me.

Great hood vent

That’s her vent has been great in our new home. Great suction great looks. Only minor annoyance is the loud high-pitched dinging noise every time you press a button otherwise I am very happy with this purchase.
