Great Product

It goes well with my other SS appliances. It has a nice design. The variable speed can be adjusted to the size of the kitchen, and 500 CFM is more than sufficient for any kind of cooking. Great LED lighting spreads evenly over the entire cooking surface. It would have been perfect if it had two stages of lighting.

Great hood - really beautiful

Really like this range hood. Beautiful and feels solidly build. I will enjoy using this.
My only issue is how the electrical cord is so close to one of the mounting screws. If you cut the hole for the plug to go into your cabinet as recommended, you will come really close to the mounting screw, possibly compromising the strength of the wood supporting the hood.
They should move the cord more to the middle of the unit.

Just what we needed

Our over-the-range microwave was not doing a good enough job getting rid of smoke and smells from the kitchen. When we had the kitchen remodeled, we replaced the microwave with this range hood and it is perfect! It has an unassuming design and really does a great job diverting smoke outside.

We purchased the UC-PS18 to replace an older, less efficient under cabinet vent hood. We wanted something that had good suction, but just as important, grates that were able to be removed and placed in the dishwasher for cleaning. Would highly recommend to anyone who likes to cook at home and doesn't want lingering odors left behind. This vent hood has exceeded our expectations. Very pleased with this purchase.

Beautiful and super powerful, but..., it's just too noisy. I can manage the first speed, tried different things to hold the noise down. I don't' know what more I can do or try. I will have to use on first level speed, however, can always go higher and just use earplugs.
