I have had the unit for a month now. I installed myself, not big deal, but it is heavy, I had to replace screws with nuts and bolts. Professional looking, really powerful, but quiet (second speed its enough for normal cooking), very bright lights (halogen) Great upgrade from what I had. Went from a microwave under cabinet to this commercial grade unit, very good quality and design.
Bought this hood according to the reviews. Hired a installer, and the installer was impressed by the first look with this price. The only complaint from the installer is that the top screws provided are shorter than expected and he has to find some longer ones. The hood looks great when installed. We prefer the 2nd level fan speed with quieter noise level and enough power. Overall very happy!
An elegant design range hood which scales up our kitchen looks! And it's also powerful enough to suck up all the cooking smells plus the installation was a breeze.

Very solidly built. No problems getting it installed, not too loud even on the highest setting. Extremely pleased.Note that this is a 2 man (minimum) job, this hood is heavy. As far as the prior reviews pointing out the keyhole slots not allowing you to put the screws in first, thats exactly what I did without issue. You just need to have the hole for the vertical vent big enough to allow it.Also note that the power for this is a pre-wired 3 prong connector like for a microwave range hood. Fortunately my cabinet already had an outlet in it from when the house was built. Fished the cable up through the same cutout as the vent plugged it in and viola, power complete. If you have a hard wired vent you will need to make accommodations somehow.
So far I like the vent hood. It's a pretty low profile one and has variable speeds for the fans which I like. Also the lights have 2 brightnesses to them, so I'm happy with that. It really lights up the stove when on full capacity. It does a good job on low, too. Now I just have to cook something to test out it's exhausting capabilities. Since I am still in the renovating stages it may be a while before I get to test that. Lol
