Great product!

This item works great, pulls enough air to stick a piece of paper to the grate at the lowest setting (our old microwave one would not do this). The light is bright and illimunates the whole range area.It was fairly difficult to install, I recommend having a strong extra set of hands to help hold it up. The unit is heavy enough that it made it difficult. I highly recommend removing your range to give you more room to work while installing. Otherwise the installation issues we had were not the product's fault.

Recently had it installed by my contractor and he said it was very easy and the instructions were well written. I probably could of done it myself but he was doing my kitchen over anyway so he installed it in like 15 minutes. The exhaust is twice as strong as my old one, and very quiet. I love the new version of this fixture because it now comes with LED lights. They can't be dimmed but who cares they are LED's. The bulbs can be bought anywhere if and when they burn out. The filters are stainless steel and this was very important to me because the stove fire we had melted my previous one because the frames of the filters were made out of plastic. That was one of the most important features and along with the great reviews that made me purchase this. It looks stunning, but I must say if you are very Tall you may hit your head on the corners of the hood because it comes out about 2 inches more than my previous one did. My contractor who is 6"1" hit his head, and I did once but now I don't bend into the cooking area as far and It hasn't happened again. (you only have to do it once and you become pre-destined, you won't do it again trust me) . My wife who is 5'3" has never even come close to the corners, only us tall folks 5'10" and taller have to be careful. But the larger hood surface must really help in the exhaust capabilities so its worth it. I must say I couldn't be more pleased with this Hauslane Range Hood. Also when I called about the lights the customer support was super helpful and kind. Worth every one of the five stars!!!!!

This hood replaced microwave exhaust vent hood. We put up with it for 10 years. It finally came time to replace it and we needed a hood that vented out the back instead of the top. After going thru many pages of hoods I finally came upon your hood. It is perfect. The cfm's are just what we needed for of commercial grade stove. We have had it for a week and love it.

Good performance and sleek design

Very happy with the Hauslane 36" range hood- installed about 3 months ago.We chose this design since we needed the rectangular 10 " wide rear extraction port ( replacing an old Kenmore fan also with a rear exit). Instructions were good ( updated compared with some of the older reviews and were straightforward to follow) . Unit was well packed and shipped with all the different connection hardware required for different options. the unit is well made, though the sheet metal for the exhaust flaps on the 10" slot is very thin making them quite flimsy. Also moved the electrical feedthrough from top of the unit to back ( 1/2 " knockout available) to allow connection with existing supplythe unit is heavy so a second pair of hand at the install is really required.

We recently renovated our kitchen and were looking for a range that had good suction for our gas stove and that was going to be quiet! After weeks of looking and researching we settled on the Hauslane 30" PS18 and are very happy with our purchase. It's quieter than I thought it would and actually clears cooking odors! It's a huge upgrade from our microwave range! 4 stars because it is a bit of a pain to install specially since it came with the protruding plug already attached.

We ordered this Hauslane 30PS18 under cabinet range hood to change week microwave ventilation.The item was packed perfect. This hood covers all stove and made very solid and looks good. It is powerful hood and has 5 speed good ventilation system and I would recommend to every one who spends a lot of time cooking.I am impressed with the filter's system. Enough light comes from two LED lights.My husband installed himself and says easy to do it. I am happy with this product .
