We changed our rangehood because the previous one was not efficient. This is perfect for for people who cook with oil everyday and do very heavy asian/indian style cooking. This keeps the smell out. The looks is good with touch control.Cons: This is very heavy and not easy to install. You must get this installed with professional.
Easy to install...the rear exit work for my installation. Can finally cook without fumes spreading throughout the house. Looks great and works as expected. I would highly recommend.
It works as I expected - Strong power, a little noisy. We only have 2 guys to install it and it was very hard. I knew it was heavy and big. But I did not realize it took 2 men about 4 hours. Its power cord is at a different position from my previous one so I made a hole with a line at the outer side on the bottom of the cabinet. When we tried to hook it on the screws, it was hard and we try-put it down-adjust-try again for 4 times. Highly recommend working with 2 jacks but not carrying by people - people is not stable.
Bought this range hood for my house to replace one that was over 10 years old. It was extremely easy to install and worked great until about 6 months in when it suddenly stopped working. We even called a handyman to try to fix it but they couldn't find the problem. A few days later, we called Hauslane and they told us to reset our circuit breakers. We turned them off for about 15 min and then after turning them back on the range hood was fixed! The solution turned out to be so simple the whole time! It still works great and its digital features make it very easy to control how strong the fan is and turning on and off the light.
The unit is well built, you can tell it by its weight. It is heavy and installing it is not easy. The control panel is nice but not sensitive enough so you have to press harder or several times before you can achieve what you want.
Nice unit. Installed ok except for the baffle unit (Top, round outlet). No instruction what so ever regard this piece. There are two rubber pieces that need to be removed and replaced AFTER you lay the baffle unit in place. There are also two rubber feet (in hindsight, I think there are supposed to be three) around the circumference of the round outlet that is supposed to keep the baffle from falling into the fan. They are useless. After several R&R of the complete unit, I am done. I will put up with the baffle hitting the fan as the fan starts and stops.
