Perfect In Theory

I wanted to love this grip so badly, and in theory I do. In practice, it’s not as functional as a standard popsocket is for me. The grip has to be popped back up often— VERY often. This is fine the first few times, but eventually it becomes extremely annoying. I can’t put my phone down in my lap for one moment otherwise it will close again. Not ideal for multitasking. I also utilize a grip to balance my phone against things (while cooking, recording, etc) that the kick-stand function of the OhSnap grip just can’t do as well. The grip itself is also quite flimsy, and no matter how I hold I feel like some of my hand strength is being used to keep the grip and phone straight— whereas with a traditional grip it does that work for me. I think both of these annoyances could be fixed with a simple mechanism to keep the grip “out”, like a piece of plastic in the center you can flip up. This would solve my grievances and also make the grip more functional overall.

I left a star out just because I'm not a fan of adhesives on my case but I said, "what the hey, I'll buy it". The slim profile is exactly what I was looking with my IPhone 16PM. I have large hands but the weight can sometimes be felt and the grip on the back is a game changer, I can enjoy the premium feel of my phone without the fatigue. I would buy again should I find a second phone case I like. Not to mention the powerful magnet on the back I LOVE sticking my phone on my fridge at home, or at work, is the top feature that opted this purchase even if it didn't have that grip. SO happy the grip is there!

Stopped collapsing within two days

It's a cool concept but it isn't durable at all. The tines (or whatever they're called) get easily out of place and the grip won't fold back down unless you carefully move them back into place. So it's basically a very expensive piece of cheap plastic that doesn't do what it says.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Best grip I've found so far!

I LOVE this grip! It doesn't take up too much space on my phone, it holds up my phone really well when I want to read or watch something hands free, and it helps me keep hold of my phone when I'm using it one-handed. Only reason it's getting 4 stars is I live in a very high-sun hot area, and when using the magnet for my hands free magnet car holder while driving, the heat from the sun melted the glue and it came off. I was able to put it right back on, but if there was a way to get some heat-proof glue it would be a full 5 stars.

Clever but not very robust

It’s a smart design and I like being able to charge through the very thin grip. However within an hour of putting it on and using it, one of the pieces started folding the wrong direction so to collapse the grip after using it I have to make sure the pieces are all biased to fold the correct directionErgonomically, I preferred a cheap grip that lets me hold from lower on the phone, but l will probably keep using this for awhile because I’m now used to forcing it to fold correctly and I don’t forget it next to the charger like I do the bulky grips
