Overall a great grip

This thing easily does 95% of what it is advertised to do and does it all very well. The grip is relatively easy to pop out once you figure out how to do it with two fingers (on the same hand you're holding the phone with), but it takes a bit of practice to do it consistently, so keep at it and you'll get it down.
Making the grip base magnetic is a great plus. It has come in handy a couple of times already, which is more times than I was expecting it to. It also charges very well on any and all *magnetic* chargers. If you have a non-magnetic charger it probably won't work, fyi.
My only gripe is that it's not easy to use as a kickstand, nor is it particularly sturdy as one. I've gotten it to work a few times, but it's a pain and takes a lot of tries to get it set up. I would probably use it as a kickstand more if it were easy to set up that way.
Overall I'm very happy with it. If I could have given 4.5 stars I would have.

Huge Improvement

Huge improvement on the 3. Snap 3 actually broke on me twice. I couldn't stick it on my case because it would not charge through the magsafe case and the snap 3. For that reason, I used a second magnet apparatus and stuck snap 3 on there. Unfortunately the pressure of clicking the socket in and out broke the inner piece both times within a week or so. Snap 4 fixed two of those problems at once. Being a magnet OR stick, I can take it on and off as needed without needing anything extra. The magnetic socket is also a HUGE improvement on the click of snap 3. The only remaining issue is that it wont charge through both the Snap 4 and my magsafe case. Small issue if I am able to take it off with ease.

This is one of my favorite products I have ever gotten for my phone! Even purchased one for my son for Christmas and getting one for my husband too. It is so great, so functional and very well built.

Important note about adhesive and cold temps

New magnetic closure is nice! Magnet ring could be a bit stronger - I wouldn't trust the car mount. Nice and sturdy to use with fingers. I almost had to return the Snap 4 because when I received it, I followed the installation instructions and cleaned my phone case (smooth plastic) and the adhesive wasn't holding at all - it kept coming loose after 2-3 minutes while lounging on my couch and my phone slammed into my face (not fun) -- but then I remembered a trick when using double stick Velcro, they tell you to use a heat gun to warm up the adhesive which makes it stickier. I did this to my Snap 4 and it worked!
If it's cold from shipping or you are just having trouble getting it to stick, try a heat gun for a few seconds or a blow dryer on high heat to warm it up. Use your fingers to hold it so you can gauge how hot it's getting -- you can ruin adhesive doing this, but done correctly it can really help! ohsnap! You should include this in your installation tips!

So far so good…

I am pretty happy with the Luxe 4, it is super thin and my wireless charging pad in my car can pick up the charge through a MagSafe case and the ring on the outside of that. The magnetic connection is super strong. I don’t use the adhesive and I’ve had no issues with the snap ever moving.
The stand/spin mechanism feels a little flimsy but it’s held up to a lot so far and no issues. The spinning can get a little tough if any dirt/debris ends up in the mechanism but I can’t blame ohsnap for that. Sometimes I will go to spin it and it feels like it may break but it hasn’t. So month 1 is good, we will see how it performs after year 1 assuming I don’t lose it .

Love it!!

The. Snap4 Luxe is perfect. It does everything I need and doesn’t get in the way. It feels at first like there’s no way it’s as sturdy as advertised but it is!! I have a clear OtterBox case and the wireless power pack works great with it and I didn’t even need the stick-on magnet that came with the power pack. I had to switch cases and the adhesive was re-usable as advertised. This is the best add-on for a phone!
