Wonderful hutch for an amazing

Wonderful hutch for an amazing price! I have to keep my males and females separated so the 2-story hutch was ideal. I shopped around in person and online. What I found was almost every rabbit hutch is constructed with cedar - which is a soft wood. It didn't matter if it was this hutch or a hutch for $500 cedar is going to be soft. I opened it and immediately coated it with a water resistant sealer (I do this to all wood items that will be stored outdoors regardless of being pre treated). I noticed when I was applying it the pieces already had a great seal. My husband and I pieced it together in about 10 minutes. It is very easy. When working with soft woods it is important to drive your screws slowly to avoid splitting wood. This is a very durable item that will stand the test of time. I have raised rabbits for quite some time and as for other low ratings on this item due to rabbits chewing through the wood... my response is to supply your rabbit(s) with wood chew toys to keep them entertained to avoid that. It would occur with any hutch. Secondly, there is no wire wrack on top of the removable tray but I find the easiest clean up for rabbits is to get a corner litter box. It makes any living quarters much cleaner. Rabbits naturally do their business in corners so place it in the corner they do their business in - no training necessary. Occasional droppings will be out of the box but that is simply how they mark their territories. The shipping was very fast and the box arrived in perfect condition. I would absolutely recommend this hutch and company to friends and family!!! I have to admit I was skeptical due to less than satisfactory reviews but at the end of the day I told myself if I get one year out of this hutch it's worth it. I know I will be getting much more than that. WOOHOO!!!!

Decent for the price and size if you can find a coupon. Top does not open, which can make accessing pets tricky.

The product is as what you would think cheap price and cheaply made. We had to reinforcement for it would fall apart in a heart beat. But after all we did it did turn out to be nice.

Good for indoor use.

Kind of a specific niche here, but I have two male guinea pigs who are brothers but who fight when together. I don't have the time/space to get them girlfriends so we're separated but we get floor time together. I am in a SMALL apartment and this is by far the best thing I could have bought to have them in when I'm not here. I don't think it's sturdy enough for outside use, personally, but maybe I'm wrong. Great storage on top, and fairly easy to build if you have an electric screwdriver and follow directions well.

Good Hutch, needs sturdier hardware for doors

I have two New Zealand's in this hutch. Obviously they come out during the day, but this should not be the bunny's only living quarters. This hutch is a little under counter height, so super helpful to use as another landing spot for bunny supplies. Everything is good about this hutch except, the third night my bunnies escaped. Thank goodness I had a big dog kennel around their hutch so they were safe. The bottom wood door was open and the top wire door was open. So my guess is they rattled it enough to get free. So if getting this make sure u have a bungee cord around the wire part and get your own hardware for the latch on the wood doors.
