Awesome huge cage, but cheaply made

Came in a million pieces and half of them were bent. Took about 2 hours to set up and as you're putting it together you will need pliers 2 bend the prongs so they wrap around the bars to hold the cage in place better.
It's a really tall large cage and our hamster loves it.

Don¡¯t listen to those negative nellies in the other reviews... this cage ROCKS! I set mine up a little bit differently than the sellers image. I installed a larger 8.5¡± wheel and placed the house, tubes and platforms inside a little differently to accommodate the larger wheel. I also put a second food dish for hay and a tree stump home on the floor. The wheel that¡¯s comes with the cage is really tiny and not the best. But it¡¯s still cute so I installed it anyway. I don¡¯t see what everyone is complaining about. The instructions more than sufficed. I honestly didn¡¯t even need them. It¡¯s pretty easy to figure out. The cage is sturdy and secure. The only thing was a piece of a plastic tube had a crack in it. But since it was for a tube that goes on the inside, I assembled it anyway. It¡¯s fine. If it were a tube leading outside of the cage, I¡¯d probably let that affect my review. Also, some of the tube halves aren¡¯t deburred enough where they were snapped from whatever form they were attached to from the factory... a quick snipe with a pairing knife deburred it and made the seams flush and snap together. Again, not a big deal. As we speak Princess Peach (our Robo Hamster) is thoroughly enjoying this new cage. It¡¯s very spacious and you can tell she¡¯s excited. Her original cage was a Critter Trail... P O S! Never buy that monstrosity. Nothing about that cage was secure and we replaced it with this one immediately. Do your hamster a solid, buy this cage. A little common sense makes assembly easy.

Secure and Houdini proof

Best critter cage we¡¯ve ever had!We had a Houdini hamster who was finding ways out of the Critter Trail cage every night. Even after we would duct tape the likely spots!So we searched and found this cage. It¡¯s a fabulous mix of space for him to roam and get some tube time, without any gaps or loose caps for him to dislodge.It even kept him protected when the resident cat knocked over the cage attempting to get in.

Hamster Disneyland!

We have 2 dwarf hamsters that are "well fed" and had outgrown their other cage. This cage is like hamster Disneyland (as my boyfriend calls it) there's a lot of room and they can get a lot more exercise with all the space and levels. I had read previous reviews and knew this would be an adventure to assemble... so with wine in hand, when went at it haha. I think we did pretty well... the only downfalls I would say is the flooring on the levels don't fit that great in their intended spaces so it makes the flooring bend and some spaces between the flooring any the wall. But other than that... our little dudes seems to be enjoying themselves!

Great cage for Syrians

I was actually really skeptical to buy this because there were no reviews at the time that I had purchased this but OMG!!! I love this. I got this for my adult male Syrian who is a big boy lol. I didn't like the wheel that came with it, so I took it out and just used the one I already had :). It was a little annoying to put together but it only took about 45 minutes for me and my boyfriend to put together. Stuart loves his cage!!! He goes through the tubes all night long. Even though the house that came with it is kind of tiny, he LOVES it! We have his old big house on the bottom of the cage and he won't sleep in it anymore! The cage was a little hard to get open at first, but now it opens just fine. Perfect cage for hamsters, gerbils and mice but def not for rats.

Excellent for Syrians, not so good for Robos

We love this cage for the Syrian hamster we ended up with, but the Roborovski we originally adopted escaped after about a minute. Fortunately for us, the pet store was cool with exchanging him, and my daughter hadn't had time to get attached. Hamster v. 2.1 loves everything about this cage.He's running all over the place, having a blast! To be honest, the Syrian was a better fit for my daughter, so I'm pretty glad this cage didn't work for the Robo.
It was pretty easy to assemble. My 12 year old daughter insisted on assembling it with no help and did it all on her own with no directions in about 20 minutes. I gave her the directions, but she's like her father. The only thing it didn't come with that the hamster needs were a chew toy and a bath.
Update: We're still very pleased with the cage, but our hamster, Oreo, has grown so much, we had to make a few changes. He can still use the hamster house, but the wheel was getting way too small for him. So, we bought a 10" Kaytee Silent Spinner, my daughter did a little redecorating. She ended up taking out one of the levels, moving the others around, and replacing the ladder to the hamster house level with tubing. She didn't replace all of the ladders, but she did create passages with the tubing that the hamster seems to love more than the ladders. I really love it that we were able to make the changes to accommodate our grown-up Oreo so easily.
