I’ve built before with Asus so naturally I looked here first. I also compared other boards from Gigabyte and Msi. Overall this one had the best feature set and is well made. Love the 5 NVME slots, multiple PCIe slots, RAM capacity up to 192GB, and built in Thunderbolt 5 ports. Lots of SATA connectivity. Would have been nice to have an additional gen 5 NVME M.2 slot, but not sure that exists anywhere.
Overall, it’s a very well built board, and well organized.
I’m waiting for a 5090 and still using MoBo graphics. That’s been a little finicky getting 2 4K screens to work. I wish there were another USB3 internal header, but got a splitter. My initial AI overclock was a little unstable; will have to try again. Also please note you cannot use M.2 drives with built-in heat sinks as they will not fit; wish the documentation was more clear about that.
Overall these are minor issues. I would highly recommend it.

I use the Z890 ProArt Creator motherboard for editing still photography. I’m not a gamer. So far the build has been running perfectly and I’m very pleased with the results. The build uses an Intel Ultra Core 285K cpu with 96 GB of G Skill RAM, two Samsung 990 Pro SSDs, ASUS GeForce RTX 4080 Super, and a 20 TB HDD.

The ProArt Z890-CREATOR WIFI delivers exactly what high-performance workflows demand. It seamlessly supports my Intel Core Ultra 9 285K and 96GB DDR5-6800 memory, with BIOS-level stability and robust overclocking headroom. Installation was straightforward, with well-labeled headers, intuitive BIOS, and outstanding M.2 flexibility—I'm running three Gen4 NVMe drives in RAID 5 with no compatibility issues. The board includes multiple PCIe 5.0 lanes, five M.2 slots, and dual Thunderbolt 5 ports—ideal for creators who depend on high-speed storage and professional-grade displays. Build quality is excellent, and thermal performance has been solid even under extended load, thanks in part to great fan and power delivery design. Integration with the ProArt LC 420 AIO cooler was effortless. From layout to feature set, this motherboard feels purpose-built for demanding creative and AI workflows. Highly recommended for those building a professional-grade workstation.

Bad PCI Slot doesn’t work at all - very disappointing

Dear CVRVA,
Thank you for your comment.
We do understand the inconvenience this may have caused if the PCI slot doesn't recognize any cards installed. To resolve this, ensure your cards are compatible and seated properly in to the slot. We recommend testing the motherboard outside the case to determine if all the hardware is correctly installed. Also, we recommend clearing the CMOS every component change or installation. If the motherboard is not booting up, or no video, is not always a not a motherboard issue, check if your hardware(CPU, RAM, video card, PSU) are compatible are working properly. I bought this board for a new build dedicated for my still photography. I didn’t want any flashy rgb lights when I’m editing and did want good pci 5 lanes. This board delivers both for a great price. I’m currently running the ultra 9 285K and 48GB of Dominator Titanium and it’s great. I’m waiting on the Proart 5080 (I want the type C connection for my EIZO screen) to come out finish the build.
