Solar pump failure

The solar only works on really sunny days

This fountain falls just short of a five star rating. It is very attractive and easy to set up. The problem is that the solar panel only works well with very bright sun. The slightest cloud passing over causes the fountain to stop flowing. There is a battery backup but it requires a manual push of a switch to actuate.
