I also purchased the Sunnydaze 36 "fire pit ring and assembled the ring with no gaps. When I purchased the Sunnydaze 36"screen, it did not fit perfectly over the fire pit ring ( diameter a bit too short). The screen should have been designed to 36 1/4". I am surprised since both products should have been designed to be compatible.

Disappointing performance after a few weeks

We were initially pleased with our purchase of the 40-inch fire pit screen. It seemed solid and did what it was supposed to do. After a few weeks, however, we noticed that the screen near the frame was beginning to rust. At this point I'm not sure if we received a defective one (was it supposed to be treated so as not to rust?) or if this is simply indicative of the quality. Overall, pretty disappointing for an otherwise solid product.

Perfect

Works perfect to keep sparks from ruining my outdoor rug and furniture. Also keeps my curious frenchie safe from trying to catch and eat any chunks that would pop out. Fits like a glove and works great!

Very lightweight (not a good thing). Mesh is too big, sparks fly right through. Worthless.

We had trouble with lava rock popping from our gas fire pit when it got wet. The screen works great at stopping anything from getting out of the pit now.
