Just as advertised!

Product worked great just as advertised. I was able to use my 2009 TV with newest Telus TV box using this device, Only quibble is it was not obvious to me that external power was required...looking at the product I thought it might be powered by HDMI. Turns out it needs a USB port or 5v power supply. Fortunately I had a USB port on the TV which I could use so it all worked out perfectly. Very happy with the product and the price. Also the product turned up on my door 2 days after the order - outstanding!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Hooks up as advertised including using USB from TV for power. Problem is it takes from 1 to 10 minutes to figure out down scaling and produce a picture. Sound is often imperfect also. Volume needs to be set quite a bit higher than before.
Note that I am using this with newest TelusTV box and a 2009 LG TV which is HDMI 1.3 ish. So while the advertising (on Amazon anyway) claims fully compatible with HDMI 1.3 I believe it is not quite there. Would probably work on my newer TVs but OH I dont need it on the newer TVs...
