Annoying Pop-up Menu

I bought the Samsung ViewFinity S8 27" 4K monitor on sale to use as a big screen with my MacBook. Brought it back after one week. Why? There was a pop-up window for selecting Eye Saver Mode, Volume, Switch USB etc which came up every single time the computer was turned on or when it "woke" back up after not using it for a few minutes. I never actually needed to use this pop-up. The pop-up blocked the sign-on window plus just generally got in the way. It lingered for 10-15 seconds, enough to bother me, so I returned the monitor. I went to a Best Buy store and the Tech determined that this pop-up was there on all the 4K Samsung monitors but not on the lower definition monitors. We did not find a way to stop it from happening so he concluded that it was a "feature". Aside from the pop-up issue the monitor was just what I needed and would have kept it. Maybe some people aren't bothered by the pop-up, or don't get it, or have figured out a way to stop it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
