Hammock Stand Folded In On Itself
on September 30, 2020

I was enjoying this hammock stand for about a month and got in it and noticed I was sinking. I got out and the supports for one side folded in on themselves. Disappointed to say the least.
We don’t have two mature trees close enough to hang a hammock on. This stand solved the problem. The only thing I’d change is I’d add a better coating to it because we already see rust and the feet leave stains on our pavers so we have had to McGuyver it.
The frame was difficult to assemble. The connections and holes didn’t line up well. I had to use my body as a wedge to widen the end legs in order to match the width of the support bars. Two of the locking mechanisms broke during assembly so the frame comes apart when we move it.
Nice unit, works well for the hammock we bought in Mexico. Only cation is if you lay too much to one end it will tip and the wing nut can puncture your back when you hit the ground. I placed a bit of foam from some pipe insulation around the bar just in case I tip it again.
