I loved my original flashlight, so i was thrilled Coast honored their lifetime warranty when it eventually died. They sent me a G450 that is amazing!. Its bright even in a brightly lit room.

This was a replacement flashlight for us and we can't believe the light this flashlight gives! Looks like daytime! Nothing but good things that this company sells. They sell the best headlamp I have ever purchased. Kudos to Coast for making such good reliable products!

I got this light about five weeks ago the wires has burned off of the LED it was a great light it worked good

Make sure to check battery pack often

This was replacement for the HP550. The battery pack froze up in that flashlight. So I get sent a replacement G450 and guess what the battery pack was all corroded when I went to get it out. If I hadn't checked it.....it would have been same situation as old HP550. Not sure if a design flaw in these flashlights, but I'm done with coast. I was a firm believer they were the best flashlight.....not so much anymore!!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Works day in day out.
Used it all through the Texas freeze with zero issues.
Heat kills batteries so leaving in the car in the Texas sun will do the light dirty.
Have used it in sprinkles but not heavy rain yet as Coast has weatherised lights for that.
Lenser design works great as well as ample lumens to do most any job.
I am rough on lights so if ive bought 3 or more its because i wore them out from work...not any reflection on the world class,top dog builds.
Used it all through the Texas freeze with zero issues.

HP550 replacement stands up to the mighty HP550 with room to spare! Slightly smaller, 1/3 less batteries, brighter, and still all metal. Great feeling flashlight that does it all. Now just to wait for my other HP550 to die to replace with this gem.
